This year we decided to have a vegetable garden for the first time ever. Chloe is so excited. She has recently platned some of the seeds inside and they are growing really well. Stephen "had" to buy a new tiller for the garden and last weekend, the kids planted the rest of the seeds in the ground.
Catherine rolled over for the first time at Dawn's house on April 9th. She has since been rolling all the time (from her back to her belly).... and then she will cry because she has not yet figured out how to turn back over. However, for the first time tonight, she did a complete roll :) Way to roll Catherine!!
On Thursday, we had a playdate with Elizabeth and Davis. It has been months since we have gotten together and was the first time that Davis and Catherine had ever "played" together. Thanks Lea for a fun time!!
Every Easter weekend, our church participates in Lads to Leaders at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville Tennessee. This was Chloe's first year to participate and she did song leading, drew a picture, and made a poster. It is such a wonderful opportunity and so neat to see the children begin to "lead". After the convention, we went swimming in the indoor pool and then went to eat lunch with Andra and her family. What a wonderful weekend!!
I can't believe it has been 18 weeks. I am attempting to savor every minute of this precious baby. Catherine is starting to develop a personality. This week she has started "talking" as she has found her voice. One of her recent favorite things to do is stick out her tongue. The other kids think this is so funny and so they stick out their tongues back to her, which only encourages it even more!! Today in the car, Chloe said, "Mommy we are playing stick out your tongue back here." Catherine has also found her feet and will just watch them in amazement. She is rolling to her side and will also turn over backward to get a glimpse of the TV, this is also a new favorite activity!! Catherine started eating rice cereal last week and is doing better each day with eating it off of a spoon. I am continuing to breast feed and supplement with formula when needed.
On Saturday, we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at Alvaton Church of Christ. We had so much fun. Thanks to the Dyes for inviting us!!!
My name is Dawn Pitcock and I am proud to call myself a Christian. I am married to a wonderful Christian man. We were married in Jamaica in March 2006. In December 2007, we had our first beautiful daughter, Chloe Elyse Pitcock, who has been such a wonderful blessing to our lives. Stephen and I were blessed four years later in November of 2011 with a second daughter, Catherine Elizabeth. We are also foster parents, but currently do not have any foster children living with us. I work part-time with the early intervention program in Kentucky and the rest of the time I spend on domestic engineering projects!!
