Chloe had a Halloween recital today. Chloe was chosen out of all of the children to play a solo. She played "Twinkle, Twinkle". We are SO proud of her. Our family also received a prize for the "best dressed"!! We had so much fun!!
On Wednesday, we traveled to Kosair in Louisville to see Chloe's cardiologist, Dr. Johnsrude. He took an EKG and said there was no change, the WPW syndrome is still evident. She weighs 38.8 pounds, but he said he could do the surgery at any time. We will hopefully schedule the surgery for sometime this summer.
Last Sunday, Sydney came over for a visit. The girls had so much fun playing together. We ate at Moe's, Chloe's favorite restaurant, for lunch and then the girls made "haunted houses" and ate ice cream when we got home.
Chloe's kindergarten class went to the pumpkin patch in Woodburn, KY last Friday. The kids had lots of fun on the hayride, picking a pumpkin, learning about bee hives, playing in a huge box of corn, learning how to "shuck" corn, and eating their lunch outside. Catherine went with us and had a great time as well!!
During Fall Break, we went to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. We decided to fly because it would be a very long drive!! We drove to the ocean several times while we were there, but Catherine did not like the sand on her feet. She would say "dirty" and get really upset. We swam in the condos very large pool every day. Both Chloe and Catherine love the water. Chloe is an excellent swimmer and Catherine is doing great. She has no fear!!! We ate at lots of great restaurants. Our favorite was Aruba's, which was right by the ocean. Chloe took her violin and got lots of practice. She was applauded after practicing on the beach. We drove to Miami one day and went to the Children's Museum where we spent most of the day. We decided that Miami did not have much of a "family atmosphere". We visited a pet shop several times that had lots of small puppies. Both of the girls loved the puppies and wanted to bring one home with us :) The fudge shop was right next to the puppy store so, of course, we had to make several stops there as well.
My name is Dawn Pitcock and I am proud to call myself a Christian. I am married to a wonderful Christian man. We were married in Jamaica in March 2006. In December 2007, we had our first beautiful daughter, Chloe Elyse Pitcock, who has been such a wonderful blessing to our lives. Stephen and I were blessed four years later in November of 2011 with a second daughter, Catherine Elizabeth. We are also foster parents, but currently do not have any foster children living with us. I work part-time with the early intervention program in Kentucky and the rest of the time I spend on domestic engineering projects!!
