Spring Break with Grammy

We spent the week of Spring Break in Nashville with Grammy. We planned this trip several months ago when Daddy thought he could not take off from work. Turns out, he could have gone. So, Daddy held down the fort at home and we made lots of wonderful memories with Grammy. We had a beautiful apartment with an indoor pool for the girls to swim. We did lots of fun things such as the zoo, lots of swimming, saw "Elvis" and Highway 101 in concert, ate LOTS of delicious food, shopped at Opry Mills mall, played Bingo, took dance lessons by the pool and participated in arts and crafts at the apartment. We had a beautiful week with temperatures in the 70s and 80s. And, we did not have to drive 10-12 hours to get home!! Stephen came up Friday afternoon and Grammy went home to get some rest. On Saturday morning, we ate breakfast at Monell's, a restaurant downtown that was recommended by a co-worker. It was the most delicious meal I have ever eaten. We sat at a large table with other people that we eating at the restaurant. We had cheese grits, biscuits and grav, ham, sausage, bacon, fried chicken, corn pudding, cinnamon rolls, baked apples, pancakes, eggs, and sweet tea!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!! What a wonderful and blessed Spring Break 2014!!

We went to Nanny and Grandpa Jerry's house to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. He was home from the hospital and feeling good on his birthday. What a great birthday present!! Happy Birthday Grandpa Jerry!!
