Days with Grammy and O'Pa

As often as we can, we go and see Grammy and O'Pa in Russellville. O'Pa continues to have health issues and is not able to leave the house. Some days are better than others. We sure hope he gets better real soon so he can come and see us!!

Fall Break 2016

We headed down to one of our favorite places for Fall Break this year. It was an eventful trip to say the least. While we were in Orlando, towards the end of the week, they basically shut everything down because Hurricane Matthew was headed that way. Even Disney World closed down!! We headed east on Thursday night and spent two nights with Cathy and Warner. We left early Saturday night and had planned to drive all day to make it back home. Well, that did not happen. We hit a very large screwdriver in the road that blew out our tire and we had to pull over at a place that I never want to go back to. We had to stay 3-4 hours at a gas station in Atlanta where we were not very welcome. We finally got our old tire off and find a new tire at the last minute, around 7pm. Needless to say, we were too tired to make it back home, but could not find a hotel anywhere because of the hurricane I mentioned earlier. Finally, we found a hotel in Manchester, TN and got some much needed rest before driving back the next morning. Next time I hope to fly!! Although the trip was very adventurous, we did have some down time to swim, watch movies, eat lots of yummy food, play games, and visit Sea World. We made lots of great memories.
