SHINE 2019

This is one of the days I look forward to each year. However, this year proved to be a very difficult day for me. O'Pa had taken a turn for the worst and was taken to the hospital in Nashville. I wanted so badly to be there with him, but did not want to miss this special day. I headed out early and headed to Nashville. O'Pa was released from the hospital several days later, but was taken to a local nursing home for rehab. This proved to be a very difficult few months for our family, but overall O'Pa gained a better quality of life.
